SLAB is a literary magazine published by Slippery Rock University. I was contacted by their director to Illustrate a cover, poster, and internals for the publication. I was given complete creative control on this project and the SLAB team was a pleasure to work with. For the cover I decided to recreate a photo I had taken while traveling through the Rocky mountains in Colorado. I wasn't sure how I wanted to create this image and I tried out a few mediums but quickly decided to do a digital rendering using CMYK dots. For the poster I used a straightforward approach to maximize readability working with such a large copy. Cooper type with a little twist is a classic that hardly misses its mark. The internals are a collection of single panel comics I've created in my free time using pen and ink and some whiteout.  The client was very pleased with the project and described the work as, "amazing, oneiric and, fabulous".
